We tried to get some rest, because we knew the coming days would keep us very busy. Before hitting the sacks though, we enjoyed ourselves with the teenies that were having a party some hundred feet below us (thanks for those showers...).
We were awakened the next morning by awesome rain showers. This little tower that some of us spent the night in didn't give very good protection against severe weather like that. What pissed us off even more though was that Pissi's exhaust needed welding, as did Spachtel's. And we'd have to ride through the rain! One guy from the Kulturbanausen had a huge workshop, and he let us work there for some hours.
During the 'short' pit stop, some of us laid out in the sun - the rain was being swept away by some sunshine. In this time, Spachtel welded an exhaust, Everell redid the water cooling system, Pissi changed the cruciform and the Kulturbanausen did some work.
After that, we could finally take off for the last instance of our ride, from Koblenz, past the former German Capitol Bonn, and on to Aachen.
