Arriving in Aachen
We arrived (after leaving Everell's and Spachtel's scooters on friends' pick ups) at Aachen, to see that at least 800 scooterists had already made their way there before us. We built up our $10 tents quickly and got ready for some action. Everell had announced to cause the biggest commotion every if he only made it. We were there, so was he, and it was time to get started.

The Jetsons First, we met up with the Jetsons, a scooter club from Paderborn. You can check out some stuff about them in the Clubs section.

Then we met up with the other big German club on the Internet, the FäckalPatrioten ScooterClub. More and more people started to show up and get their tents up. The atmosphere was getting more and more tense, and everyone was ready to go for the first allnighter.
While Spachtel was kneeling next to his P (he had to replace the crankshaft and the large crank seal, that basically means that he head to tear the entire engine apart (but it had to be done, because our pace-car had broken down in Koblenz, and the Vespa was the only way home)), Everell had other things on his mind. The Ring of Fire Inside, the staff was getting ready to set up the Ring of Fire. This huge spinnable ring had several drinks instead of money prizes shown at each corner. A person (or let's say a maniac) would then get tied to this rotating ring from hell.

As soon as it quit spinning, the arrow would show the kind of drink that had to be consumed. Every drink was awarded with a number of points, and whoever accumulated the most points would win.
A Vodka shot would be worth 2 points, a half liter of beer 3 points and so on. The first guy on there was maniac enough to manage to get 40 points. Then a British dude amazed all Germans by getting 60 points. That's when it probably clicked in Everall's head.
