In 1995, the Aboriginal S.C. Neu-Ulm was the first German scooter club on the internet. Soon thereafter, Boz got to know Thilo from the FäkalPatrioten ScooterClub Saarbrücken through a mailing list on the Scooter Scene Home Page. Since Boz and I often travel through Saarbrücken, we decided to meet. That's how it started. Not for long and the FäkalPatriotn were the second German club on the Internet. In early 1997 we decided to sponsor a run together. Fortunately, Thilo did all the organizing work and all that was left for us to do were the trophies (usually given to outstanding custom scooters, fast racers or great drinking performances). Biff, Boz, and I sat down and welded T5 cranks togetber, ripped Malossi cylinders apart and sawed Wiseco pistons to pieces. The trophies looked really great, and we didn't really want to give them away. Meanwhile Thilo had registered a domain name just for the run ('www.on-the-run.handshake.de'), and found an awesome site right at the shores of the Saar river. We were all ready and set to go.
Biff and I got ready to unload the incredible machine (Lambretta with RD350 engine), and everyone else settled down and set up their tents.

These are the 7 Aboriginals that were able to support the run (from left to right:Mayer Drop, Spachtel, Pissi, Arne, Boz, Schniedi S., Biff). A whole bunch of FäkalPatrioten had found their way also. Fortunately, the weather had just turned from constant rain to great sunshine, and we didn't have to worry about the location getting flooded by the near-by Saar river.
