I never dreamed it possible when I first moved to the U.S., but now it was about to happen. A scooter run actually right where I lived.

I knew we couldn't show up to the run with the beat up Vespas we had sitting around (the P200, red, and the V90S, fucked up blue). A paint job was indispensible. Luckily school was out and we had a week's time to get the bikes ready. As always with projects like that, it takes longer than you think and the P200 was still drying as we took off late Friday night to the camp site out near Ottawa, KS.

Kewl Lambretta Paul from the Kickback S.C. had only given us very sketchy information as to where the place is. We were really happy when we encountered a Vespa and this Lambretta riding from a gas station back to the site, knowing the way.

When we actually arrived, Paul was already there to greet us. Drunk as can be. He was in an awesome mood... The site was very spread out and despite the fact that it was in Kansas, it looked great. People from all over the country had shown up, I believe from as far West as Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs and way East, from Atlanta. And of course, our favorite club from St.Louis was there too.

On Saturday morning we were able to take a closer look at the site. The Site Everyone was chilling that day, the sun was burning too strong and it was good opportunity to talk to people. We used the opportunity to start the first side kicks at the Hard Luck S.C. from St.Louis, getting ready for the big show down that would follow in the evening.

Atlanta dude doing a wheely Others were just doinking around on their Vespas and Lambrettas, testing the race track that had been put up around the site. Some really nice Series II Lambretta was forced around the track way too often, it made my heart bleed!
