We wanted to get going on Friday at 2pm,
and had picked an easy route.
From Germany's Paderborn through the "Sauerland" to Dreisbach
(100 mi). After the usual "I still need to change my cluth cable" delays
 |
we finally met up
at 4pm at the gas station |
Since the rest of our club wimped out as usual, only Gonzo and I
were ready. Sven from BI and Bill, who hadn't been riding for years
met up with us. Bill had decided to eventually get back on track and purchase
a P2. Our prospect was on vacation so we had to leave without him
- what would turn out to be a big mistake.
The route was more than shitty. Hills and tons of curves
with way cool C o n s t r u c t i o n D a m a g e . Gonzo and his
lam(e)y didn't make the hills, my 125/2 and I didn't make it down the hills.
Great.
| After a
delicious fast food feast and thousands of breaks,
we rode mile by mile. Sven and Bill
had to stop for Drugs and Pils (awesome German beer).
So we managed to make the 100 mi ride in amazing 5 hrs and arrived
at Dreisbach beautifully located in the "Westerwald". |

The journey and especially the time it took was shitty. The only cool thing
was that none of the bikes broke down - except for a blown bulb
on my 125/2. Unbelievable and not typical for us.
