On the weekend from July 31 - August 2, 1998 the Denver ACE scooterclub invited to go out to their first ralley. Of course I was happy to go because Denver is not that far and my brother has been there before me and told me about the great scooterscene denver has.

So I decided to take my P 200 over my allstate because it runs faster. Since Denver was a city ralley I figuered a little speed and noise to show off would be great. You can see my nice club jacket. This is a classic picture taken by Chelsey in Denver
Frank, Chelsey and I took off Friday Morning. It was a clowdy and sort of rainy morning but we were all exited, I hadn't been to a ralley since Sep '97 in St. Louis. We loaded the scoots (you can see my P and Frank's 150 Ser II) onto the truck and after a couple of beers took off.

The ride wasn't too bad (8 hours) and we found the place right away. Thank god the weather had changed and it was nice. A bunch of people had already arrived at the local scooter store Sportique. It is beautifully located downtown with a great view on Denver's skyline.

We were welcomed by Adam and Justin, and they made my day by telling me the whole weekend was for free. So I knew what that meant: drinking and eating and puking and of course fun.

Paul and Marc (from Manhattan) arrived a little later. We went to get some beer to start the party.

The first night they had organized a nighter at a friend's nearby kick ass restored factory. Food and beer for free. So a little bit of drinking (unfortunately I had to puke early on to be able to drink more). Some chatting with people, more drinking... Paul and I were pretty much getting there. The do was awsome, a shit load of people and of course the familiar smell of two stroke smoke ever present. People walked by and stared at the strange crowd of people. The guys from Portland and San Francisco had coem dressed up as ladies. They were getting there too. Paul and I decided to go to Phil's place (everyone stayed at People's places) to get some rest for the ride out that was scheduled for the next day.
