The Beast is just kicked to the ground on this picture because it probably wasn't serving its driver well enough. It had some starting problems again this year. But hell, I don't think it deserves any better than this!

After the St.Louis-typical bowling afternoon was over (unfortunately we didn't get a chance to whip their ass as bad as we did last year), everyone got ready for the fun games. Afterall, the Aboriginals defeated St.Louis at the Lawrence rally, so there was some unfinished business to catch up with.

The first event was Tug-of-War. Since there were only 2 Aboriginals present, we had to rely on the Kickbacks to aid us in our attempt to beat Hard Luck at this home game. I don't like to admit it, but we shamefully lost in this discipline. Hard Luck had their vengeance for their defeat at Lawrence.

Next up was a Pool-pulling Quartermile. Two scooters competed, each pulling a guy sitting in a plastic pool behind.

This picture shows the Aboriginals getting ready for the run. My pants are all wet and fucked up because Hard Luck pulled our asses through the Tug-of-War mudpit (to my dismayal Lutz had puked into it before we were dragged through it). Due to the enormous power output of my engine, a spinning back wheel kept us from winning. A very kewl event though!

Soon thereafter, the event Hard Luck is most famous and feared for was started: the flaming burnouts. A scooter was pushed onto a plastic ramp, the ramp was soaked with gasoline.

Flaming Burnout The gasoline was lit and the scooter and its rider gave their best to spin their wheel in huge flames.
In this picture, Stony from Canada is giving his best to impress the viewers. His Lambretta's gear box was totally destroyed during this event. Apparently first gear was just ripped apart by the power the nitro injection pumps onto it. But this burnout is surely impressive!

Of course there could only be one winner of the flaming burnout competition. The Aboriginals flamed for almost a minute and that was rewarded with a cool patch the next morning.

The night was rounded off by presentations from Colorado. A plastic shield was to be rubbed with your bare body.

The Colorado clubs really made the event as fun as it was. The night ended (for me at least, with no sleep the night before) with a naked rally. At first, only a few people rode around naked. Then more and more joined in, and some even jumped the ramp naked (two people on that Vespa!). It was kind of weird though when a Lambretta broke down and 5 naked and drunk people tried to fix it up, without having the slightest clue of what they were doing.
