Okay, it all started when I began to browse the Net for scooter sites in late 1995 - but except for the Aboriginal S.C. scootersite nothing cool roamed the Internet. Somewhere along that time, I contacted the guy who made that site by writing a completely stupid email (about html tags) without knowing who that was and where he lived. Under the impression he lived in Neu-Ulm (why then is everything in English?) we started to write emails on a regular basis and at some point I realized that Arne lives in Kansas, not Neu-Ulm (stupid or what?).

After numerous mails about scoots and the well known associated problems...- ok, let's be honest... and talk about other shit.;-) Early 1996 the Internet rally took place (of course on line) there I chatted with Arne (the HERR) and a so called "spaceboz" - who would turn out to be - Lutz. Aachen'96 was supposed to be the rally where we would meet, didn't work out though because the Aboriginal S.C. decided to go on a trip to Italy with their bikes. Tough luck. Another year went by until we finally met up in Aachen'97 .
After that I decided to fly over to Kansas to visit those lazy students. It was around this time that the idea came up to make a web site, but nothing concrete happened.

A bunch of scooter sites went on line ... I had thought about starting my own little site ... but I couldn't find the time.

In June of 1998 I then flew to London. Arne had graduated and moved to Southampton ... - so I went to visit him there. Coincidently Lutz was there at the same time. Of course we sat around the bikes and the computer at night and talked about the course scooter sites had taken on the Net. Some how nothing had developed for the scooter scene in the past years. A bunch of sites had gone on line, but none of them are regularly updated. So why not do our own thing? The advantage was that we could report about the German, English, and Northern American scene. The idea was born - but it took some effort, beer, and hours to put a concept and content together.

Since we had the idea during the summer, and everyone had work on scooters to do, nothing happened. Had I not simply bought the site to put pressure on everyone else, we'd probably still be sitting around. Let's see what becomes of it.
