We all know what it feels like. The summer has bearly come to end and given way to the fall with its yellow leaves
and colder weather (at least for us mid-westerners) - and new projects find their way on our daily to-do lists.
("I think my new dremel could work wonders on that old worn out malossi").
But of course actual work is usually started way too late ("The first run isn't before April"), and don't come
to a finish before it's too late anyway.
And right before the first ralley - be it easter or Christmas - the same old same old rush starts all over again ...
("Damn, if only I had worked on it in November ... I'll never make it, my exhaust ist rusting away happily while
the carb is in desolate condition ...").

And if the scoot actually does run after our "tuning", it usually won't run any faster than your uncle's P2,
because you tampered with something you had no clue about - and if it does run fast, someone will be int the group
that can't go faster than 45 mph anyway.
Repairs during the summer are classics too, because of frequent break downs. And everyone has heard the typical -
"... it's one more week until St. Louis but I still have to change my cruciform".
Usually something unpredictable breaks - in spite of "excellent" craftman's work, and you arrive at the ralley with
a broken bike. So beer and the help of our little friends wash away the sorrow and give inspiration for Saturday's
extended repair schedule to be accomplished before the ride out...
