| i'm trying to find out information on the upcoming u.k. isle of wight rally in august, 2000. the only events listed on this web site are previous events up to 1998 and upcomming events in the usa and australia. i'm confused; are there no events in the u.k. this year? in an advertisment for the i.o.w. rally, this web site address was listed as a contact, but there is no reference anywhere i can find to any british events. perhaps this web site isn't monitored by any british particpants?

| I have an 80 jet 200 with very low miles but when my small engine mechanic cleaned the carb after of years of setting and the engine ran well, he said the clutch keeps slipping and it probably needs replaced. What we dont understand is that the clutch cant have more miles than the scooter which is less than 5000 so why is it slipping? Also, I found upon trying to start it myself earlier that I was unable to shift. Anybody with experience (i aint got none) have any clues? PS--when I went on line I couldn't believe how much stuff was out there about Lambrettas and other scooters. I was actually considering junking mine for scrap metal thinking that there was no way to get parts or expertise. There are many bike shops around here from harley to yamaha and everything in between but people I consulted were discouraging about the future of my scooter. I've now decided to keep it. Any locals? I'm close to Austin, Waco, San Antonio, and Dallas. Peace--gs |

Hier gerade 40 Grad Celsius. Aber ab und an kann man ja mal ins Wasser hueppen. Liegt ja in Fussweite.
Wer Ende April Anfang Mai Urlaub hat, sollte sich schnellstens ein Flugticket nach Thailand besorgen. Dort findet naemlich auf der Insel Ko Chang unter Palmen und warmen Meerwasser, sowie frischen FruchtShakes (Bier, whiskey, pipapo)fuer ein paar Bath swie Rollern netten Leuten und Mangas soweit der Horizont reicht ein Scooterrun statt.Abgeseheh von den Shops die es hier gibt.
Die Uebernachtung in einem Bungalow dort (direkt am Strand natuerlich) kostet max. 8,- DM.
Wer will kann natuerlich auch mit den thaiscooterist zelten.
Haur rein, geniest das Osterrun,
vielleicht ist ja jemand spontan und kommt mal runter hier !

| Brill site! Does anyone know anything about a Lambretta performance conversion done in the late sixties by a company called 'Nosmo Claphanger'? They sold tuned Lammys through a scooter dealers in North London, and had their logo, two crossed spanners, somewhere on the engine block. Für die Staaten steht mir zur Zeit der Dollar zu dick, zumal ich ja auch gerade erst da war (naja gut Ende 98).
Habe aber evtl vor, nächstes Frühjarahr, mit Roller im Gepäck evt. zum Treffen na SF zu kommen, um dann für 4-5 Wochen dort rumzudröddeln (evtl. im Van die Kiste, per Schiff). Muß erstmal sehen wat dat kostet.

| Hallo aus der Hauptstadt und ein Gesundes für fast alle !
Habe eigentlich in meiner Bude soviel zu tun, aber man sucht sich ja immer eine Ablenkung. brauche auch unbedingt neue Garage oder besser eine Scheune, da ich meine alte bis Ende Februar räumen darf. Natürlich bei mir in der Nähe ! Wäre ja schlecht wenn ich zum Schrauben erstmal fünf Stunden fahren müßte. Nunja im März dann hoffentlich wieder Urlaub (in asiatischen, bolivianischen oder afrikanischen Gefilden.weiß noch nicht).

Ok, werde noch ne Runde mit meinem Sucka drehen solange es noch hell ist und dann Feierabend einläuten.

The latest time-magazine features a whole page on vespas and the craze going on here in the states. they have pictures from orange crush in there. make sure to get a copy of the august 23 edition of time magazine. If I can find a scanner, I will put it up here. |

| Hallöchen Stefan!Nette Homepage ,die Du da hast. Über die Anekdote "Lars und seine Jacke" auf der Rückfahrt von der Customshow in Bremen mußte ich ja wiederholt schmunzeln...Ja,ja.Der Lars und seine Gedanken! Wahrscheinlich hatte er mal wieder nette Bilder von seinem Mopped mit einer leicht-bekleideten Nina darauf im Kopf!Aber ist ja nochmal gutgegangen und wir sind doch noch (Stunden später...) in PB angekommen.Das Anwärter-Foto von Nils trifft ihn ja nicht gerade vorteilhaft...!Immer das Bier bei der Hand!Außerdem vermisse ich ein Bild von seiner SUPER-MOFFA! Schließlich bin ich darauf auch in gewisser Weise verewigt...Na,ja.Das wird ja hoffentlich bald nachgeholt! So, dann mach`s mal gut und vor allem weiter so!Thüs, Uli. |
